General questions

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, absolutely! Free Wi-Fi is available in every accommodation and our hospitality building! Upon arrival, you can ask for the password at reception, but you will also find it on the notice board and in the information folder in the accommodation. During a meeting, the password is also displayed on the flipchart in the room.

Where can I park?

Parking is free at Landgoed de Biestheuvel. There are a few parking spaces at each group accommodation. If these spaces are full, you can use the large parking area at the entrance. Right next to the reception, there are also two disabled parking spaces and two charging stations (four charging points) for electric cars.

If you have not reserved any accommodation, please park in the large parking area at the entrance.

Is the estate accessible by public transport?

As our estate is located in the middle of nature, we are unfortunately not easily accessible by public transport. The nearest bus stop is in Eersel and the train station is located in Eindhoven. To make transport a little easier, we have an original American school bus and a covered wagon with which we can pick you up for a small fee. Our reception will be happy to help you plan the best route and public transport connections.

Is the estate freely accessible?

Yes, of course! Everyone is welcome to enjoy a pleasant walk on our green estate, but we do ask that you remain in the public areas. For example, the gardens located at an accommodation are not accessible if you have not reserved them. In addition, some activities are fenced off for safety reasons. You can only access these areas with an instructor. Furthermore, all kinds of activities are regularly organised on the various sports fields. If you see equipment that does not belong to you, please leave it where it is, as it is part of our activities. Thank you in advance and enjoy your walk! Curious about the walking routes on our estate? Our reception will be happy to help you!

We are coming to the estate by bus. Where can we park it?

There is a special parking area for coaches (touring cars). When you enter the estate of Landgoed de Biestheuvel, turn left. Here you will find a long hedge where the coach can park parallel to it. The easiest way is to turn the coach around in the parking area so that the driver's side is facing the hedge. This ensures that the passageway for other vehicles is not blocked.

Stay

Is there always someone available when I am staying at the estate?

Yes! Someone is available day and night for emergencies. There is a telephone in all group accommodations. This telephone cannot be used to call outside lines, only our reception (number 200). The reception can also reach you via this telephone. You can call us with any questions until 10 p.m. and after 10 p.m. only for emergencies.

The internal line may take a little longer to connect. In case of an emergency requiring an ambulance, please call 112 first and then our reception. One of our staff members will always come to assist you.

Are there any facilities for disabled people?

Yes, absolutely!
All our accommodations are barrier-free, and some of our accommodations have been further adapted for people with disabilities. For example, these accommodations have wide corridors, adapted sanitary facilities and standard nursing beds. In addition, extra aids are available for hire on request, such as various hoists. Please enquire at our reception about the most suitable accommodation for your group and the availability of the various aids.

Our hospitality building is completely barrier-free and there is a disabled toilet.

Am I obliged to book a full meal package?

No, you are completely free to choose! It is possible to have us provide all your meals during your stay, but you can also prepare one, some, or all of your meals yourself. For example, you could prepare your own breakfast in the morning and have us provide a full buffet in the evening. Our meal service describes both the packages and the individual meals.

What is meant by self-reliance in the meal service?

Have you reserved a meal service? Then we will bring the food to your accommodation in buffet form. We ask you to set and clear the tables yourself (dishwashers and dishwasher tablets are provided). After the meal, we will collect the food trays; you do not need to wash them. None of our staff will be present during the meal. This allows us to keep the costs for the meals low.

What if there is not enough food during meal service?

In principle, there will be sufficient food for all meals if you reserve a meal for each person present. In the unlikely event that there is not enough, you can simply order more. We will also deliver this extra food to your accommodation.

What is available in the group accommodation and what do I need to bring myself?

Each group accommodation is fully furnished, has a cosy fireplace and a spacious, enclosed garden offering privacy. The luxury kitchens are equipped with one or more kettles, coffee makers, a microwave, oven, dishwasher(s) and gas stove. Kitchen linen, such as towels, tea towels and dishcloths, are provided as standard, as are the (mandatory) duvet sets, coffee filters, dishwasher tablets, bin bags and toilet paper. If you have not reserved a towel set with us, you are welcome to bring your own towels for personal hygiene.

What is included in the price of group accommodation?

The rental price of your group accommodation includes gas, water, electricity, cleaning costs, pollution tax and VAT. In addition to this amount, all guests are required to pay tourist tax and reserve a duvet package. Would you like to know more about the current prices? Our reception will be happy to help you! A towel package is optional and you may also bring your own. Finally, we reserve a deposit of €300 in advance. After checking the accommodation, you will receive this deposit back by bank transfer within 1 week. Has any damage been found? Then this will be communicated to you and deducted from the deposit.

Which tablets do you need in the dishwasher?

Each accommodation has one or more dishwashers. We have also arranged for dishwasher tablets to be provided for you, which will be waiting for you in the accommodation. So you do not need to bring your own.

Can we also eat in the restaurant?

Of course, you are very welcome in our function rooms! However, we would appreciate it if you could make a reservation in advance. Please note: the prices in the restaurant differ from those of the meal service in the accommodation.

Why must a list of participants be submitted?

At the request of the police and fire brigade, we ask all groups to fill in a list of participants. This list will be used in the event of an emergency, so that we know who should be present at each accommodation. You will receive a blank participant list from us approximately one month prior to arrival. All you need to do is fill in the names and ages of your guests. If you have guests who will not be staying with us for the entire duration of your stay, please indicate this on the list. We kindly request that you return the completed participant list to us no later than one week prior to arrival.

Do we have neighbours on the Estate?

Yes! The estate covers 23 acres, but all accommodations are built on approximately 7 acres. The houses are therefore located a short distance from each other and some accommodations even have direct neighbours. Each group accommodation has its own private garden, so you do not immediately look into your neighbours' gardens, but do take noise pollution into account. After 11 p.m., it must be quiet outside. You are still allowed to play music inside, but please be considerate of the other guests.

Can allergies and dietary requirements be taken into account?

Of course! All dishes come from our own kitchen, so if you have any special dietary requirements or allergies, such as a gluten-free diet or peanut allergy, please let us know in advance so that we can take this into account. Our kitchen will then adapt the desired dishes or consult with the person in question about a suitable alternative.

When is the latest I can reserve the meal service?

Would you like to reserve our meal service? Please let us know at least one week prior to your arrival so that we can place the orders. If you know earlier that you would like to reserve the meal service, please let us know as soon as possible. We will send you a handy form on which you can indicate your preferred times and meal choices. It is also possible to order from the snack list on site. This list is posted on the notice board in the accommodation and is also included in the information folder.

What kind of filters should be used in the coffee machine?

A coffee machine for filter coffee is available. Filters are provided in the accommodation, so you do not need to worry about that. A pack of filter coffee is only included if you book the full meal service. If you do not wish to book this service, please remember to bring your own pack of filter coffee.

Is it permissible to light a fire in the evening?

Of course, but only in a fire pit and on the paved area in the garden of your accommodation. This prevents damage to the grass and possible fires. You can borrow a fire pit from us at reception and purchase wood if required. Please enquire about the current price for a 40-litre bag of wood.
Unfortunately, open fires are prohibited.

Where is the reception?

If you enter the estate via the entrance with the flags, you can park your car in the large parking area there. On your left, you will see a lawn with a path running alongside it. Follow this path to the main entrance of our hospitality building, where you will also find our reception. Please note: you will first pass the terrace of our Goei Koamer room. This is not the main entrance.

Can we use audio and video equipment?

Each accommodation has a standard television and small speakers with a USB connection. The television can be connected via an HDMI cable. If desired, a DVD player can also be borrowed from our reception. A projector with screen can be rented per day. Please enquire at reception for current prices.

Is there a pumping room available?

Yes. There is a lockable pumping room available. This room has no windows, so you can pump in peace. The room also has a small kitchenette with a refrigerator that you can use to chill the milk. Please let one of our colleagues know that you need to pump and they will show you to the room.

What is included in a reservation at the hospitality venue?

When you make a reservation at our hospitality venue, the rates include room hire, staff and VAT. So there are no additional costs afterwards.

May I bring my own drinks to the hospitality area?

No, in our terrace and hospitality areas, you may only consume beverages provided by us. If you are staying in group accommodation, you are of course free to bring your own beverages. If you are participating in an activity on our estate, you may also bring your own beverages, but please note that alcoholic beverages are prohibited before and during the activities.

Outdoor & Workshops

When is the latest I can book activities?

This question is difficult to answer. Sometimes dates are very popular and your desired activity is already booked, but sometimes an activity remains available for a long time. As soon as you have an idea about your activity, please let us know as soon as possible, and we will make an optional reservation for you. This gives you some time to think about it and prevents disappointment.

In order to arrange sufficient instructors, we would like to know which activity you would like to do at least 1 week prior to your arrival. Please note that this is subject to availability.

What happens to the activity if it rains?

In principle, our activities always go ahead. If you have booked an outdoor activity, it will still take place. Only in the event of thunderstorms in open areas and on water, or excessive wind speeds for high-altitude activities, will we postpone, change or cancel the activity.

In many cases, a last-minute change to an indoor activity is not possible due to the number of groups that have made reservations. Would you like an activity that is not weather-dependent? Then take a look at our indoor activities, such as the Kluisroof.

What should I wear during our activity?

In general, the sports guidelines apply to the activities. This means wearing comfortable clothing, removing jewellery and tying up your hair. Also take the weather into account. In summer, it may be useful to bring a hat and sunscreen. In the darker months, a raincoat and an extra cardigan may be useful.
For activities on the water, shoes must always be worn in the pond because of the reeds. So bring water shoes or wear shoes that can get wet.
